On Tuesday, July 10, 2018, the faculty of Road and Bridge (FRBE), the DUT welcomed the delegation from Griffith University, included Professor Erwin Oh, director of international cooperation, and Mrs. Michelle Hoang Walker, international marketing manager (Indochina). From the FRBE, we are Dr. Cao Van Lam, vice-dean of the faculty; Dr. Do Huu Dao, Head of the division of fundamental technology, Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Quy Duy, and many students of the FRBE, the DUT.
At the meeting, we briefly introduced the history and development of the University, the training programs, the international cooperation in education and scientific research. Griffith University is one of the top 5% of the world’s leading universities, with many leading majors in Australia. Professor Erwin expressed his desire to build a cooperative relationship for undergraduate and postgraduate programs for excellent students. In addition, Griffith University wishes to sponsor the annual student research conference of the faculties in the next time.
Discussing professional work in the geotechnical field, Dr. Do Huu Dao introduced about the success in scientific research and technology transfer of the FRBE and the DUT. Professor Erwin was delighted to attend the international scientific conference “Transport Infrastructure for Sustainable Development – TISDC 2019”.
The cooperation with Griffith University illustrates the development in education and international cooperation of the FRBE. This is a great opportunity to build a long-term partnership with famous institutes over the world.
