Announcement of application for a scholarship for disadvantaged students with good academic performance and active participation in extracurricular activities for the academic year 2022-2023

To provide a basis and support information for students with difficult family circumstances, the Faculty of Bridge and Road Engineering is implementing the following information collection for students:

Purpose: to consider scholarships for academic encouragement and financial or material support for students with difficult circumstances.

Registration conditions:

Students of the Faculty of Bridge and Road Engineering, cohorts 18, 19, 20, 21, 22;

Students who fall under one of the following conditions (with supporting documents):

Families classified as poor or near-poor; orphans; families living in particularly difficult areas, etc.;

Students whose families have experienced unusual incidents, natural disasters, illnesses, etc. that greatly affect their studies and daily lives;

Students who actively participate in community and youth union activities that are recorded by the group (with confirmation from the homeroom teacher/class group/Youth Union).

Having achieved an average grade of above 6.0 in the 2021-2022 academic year (with no grades below 5);

Students must provide a truthful declaration and use the support or materials for the intended purpose.

Form and time of registration:

Students submit their applications during business hours at Faculty Office A316.

The timeframe from October 15, 2022, to October 30, 2022:

The application includes a request for scholarships and support; supporting documents and a declaration.

Evaluation organization:

The evaluation team consists of the faculty’s executive committee and administrative staff;

Criteria and principles of evaluation:

Based on the allocation of support sources from the university, faculty, and other sources to determine the number and value of support packages;

Allocate 30% of scholarships to students who have achieved good results in youth union and community activities. The list is proposed by the Youth Union from among the scholarship applications that have been submitted;

Prioritize policy beneficiaries as stipulated by the state;

Prioritize students who have contributed to the faculty’s movements and activities;

Prioritize students who are receiving scholarships for the first time;

The remaining scholarships will be awarded in order of priority based on the average grade of the 2021-2022 academic year;

Each student can only receive a maximum of one scholarship or material package valued at 3 million dongs or more in the 2022-2023 academic year at the time of scholarship evaluation.

Announcement of results and scholarship award:

The scholarship list will be posted on the faculty’s website and fan page, and students with any questions or feedback should contact the faculty within 2 days of the scholarship list being posted. The scholarships will be awarded directly at the New Student Welcome Ceremony in 2022. Students receiving scholarships must wear school uniforms (long pants, collared shirts, shoes, or sandals with back straps…) when receiving the scholarships.
