The two Advanced Programs of University of Science and Technology, the University of Danang ranked No. 2 in Southeast Asia according to AUN-QA standards

Educational Quality Assurance is always a top priority

“The event today is a special mark for all staff, lecturers and students of DUT-UD in which the two advanced programs was accredited by the AUN-QA with the best score among the training programs in Vietnam so far. With this score, the two advanced programs of DUT-UD were officially recognized in the top programs in Southeast Asia according to AUN-QA standards “-  said Prof. Dr. Le Kim Hung – Rector of DUT-UD.

It is known that in the past year, the DUT-UD’s educational quality assurance and accreditation achieved a lot of milestones. In particular, DUT had implemented the external assessment and was recognized to meet the domestic standards. In addition, 03 training programs (including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology) of the Vietnamese-French Training Program of excellent engineers (PFIEV) had been recognized to achieve the standard by CTI (Europe). As a result, along with these certificates, DUT-UD has a total of 05 programs that have been accredited by the Southeast Asian and European organizations.

“UD has paid much attention to the quality assurance mission. All member universities have established the quality assurance offices. University of Education-UD is the first university in the whole country has been successfully accredited. Until now, all UD member universities have been tested to achieve standards. This is one of the most convincing evidence to build the confidence in training quality of UD “- Prof. Dr. Bui Van Ga – Vice Minister of Ministry of Education and Training shared at the ceremony.

According to Prof. Dr. Bui Van Ga, the advanced programs in Electronics and Telecommunications and Embedded Systems of DUT are the two programs having the most outstanding accreditation results so far. And the results of these two programs are perfectly matched with the prestige and training quality: high outcome standard, IELTS 6.0 or higher, more than 97% of students getting a job after 12 months of graduation.

DUT students in general and Advanced Programs students in particular will have the opportunity to continue their postgraduate program at prestigious universities in America and Europe. After graduation, students also have opportunities to be recruited at huge domestic and international corporations such as Intel, Bosch, eSilicon, Renesas, FPT, Viettel, Vietnam Electricity Corporation and so on.

On behalf of the network management board of the Southeast Asian university, Assoc. Prof. Nantana Gajaseni expressed her delight at the increasing number of universities achieving the quality assurance and training standard to contribute to the high quality human resources training in ASEAN countries.
